Online Bill Payment
Overview
Payments may be made online using Visa, American Express, Discover, and Mastercard. Debit cards may be used as long as they are set up to act as a credit card and do not require entry of a PIN number.
Online payments can be made for the categories below. For all other payments via credit card please call the Finance Department at (302) 539-8011 so we may verify the amount due and that we have all necessary information before taking your card information over the phone.
Water Bill
Semi-annual water bills for the six months ending March 31 and September 30 are sent shortly after these dates and due within six weeks. Penalties will be assessed if payment is not received by the due date printed on the bill.
If you would like your water bill automatically deducted from your bank account, use our Automatic Payment Form to supply your bank information, along with a voided check. Your semi-annual bill will be mailed to you and the total amount due will be automatically deducted from your bank account within a few days of the due date. The form and voided check may be mailed to PO Box 109, Bethany Beach, DE 19930 or emailed to finance@townofbethanybeach.com.
Annual Bill for Property Taxes, Trash, Sinking Fund, Recycling and Ambulance Fees
Annual bills are mailed each May and are due by August 31.
E-billing should be available soon. If you would like to receive your bills by email in addition to postal mail you can sign up by emailing finance@townofbethanybeach.com. Be sure to add finance@townofbethanybeach.com to your Safe Senders list so you see your e-bill when it arrives. Printed bills will still be mailed or sent to your mortgage company.
Pay Property Taxes, Trash Fees, and Sinking Fund Bill
Rental Real Estate Taxes
Tax payments made for rental of property from May 1 through September 30 are due by November 1. Tax payments made for rental of property from October 1 through April 30 are due by June 1.
Business License Renewal Fee
Business licenses are granted for the period of June 1 through May 31. The cost is $250.00 per year and up to three years can be purchased at a time. Only license renewals can be processed online. First-time applicants must print, complete, sign and mail the application with your payment. If the nature of your business has changed you must fill out and mail a new application form.

Parking Ticket Fines
Pay a Ticket: To pay online, you will need the parking ticket number, license plate number, and state to pay the ticket online. Partial payments are not allowed online.
Fines Double if not paid within 14 days from date of issuance.
Appeal a Ticket: Tickets can be appealed electronically by clicking the (Appeal Ticket Online) link below or by calling 302-539-1000. Appeals MUST be submitted within 10 calendar days of the date the ticket/citation was issued. The appeal is subject to an appeal fee by the Court.
Parking Appeals must be accompanied with verifying documentation from ParkMobile or Pay Station receipt as shown in the example below.
OTHER APPEALS:
If this is the first time that you received a citation for Expired Time ONLY but have a paid parking receipt or paid ParkMobile session covering the time of the ticket, please send an email (including ticket number and any supporting documentation) within 10 days of the citation issue date to: parking@townofbethanybeach.com.
