Rated PG In a land where real vegetation is rare, a young boy (voice of Zac Efron) seeks to impress his pretty neighbor by getting a tree. But in the process, he encounters the Lorax, a cantankerous yet endearing creature intent on preserving the forest.

This movie correlates to the 2b1 concert being shown on the Bandstand Wednesday July 12th at 7:30.

Rated PG – Female mathematicians Dorothy Vaughn, Mary Jackson, and Katherine Johnson crossed all gender, race, and professional lines as the brains behind one of the greatest operations in U.S. history. Based on the unbelievably true-life stories of these women, known as "human computers", they quickly rose the ranks of NASA specifically tasked with calculating the momentous launch of astronaut John Glenn into orbit, and guaranteeing his safe return.

Midway

MIDWAY (2019)

Rated PG -13 - In 1942, a few months after the infamous Pearl Harbor attack and a few years before World War II ended, the Japanese forces were once again planning to stage a sudden attack against their opponents this time near the Midway Atoll. Their plan, however, was intercepted, and the American forces arrived at the Pacific Ocean theater just in time to stop them. The battle lasted for three days, and its outcome became a critical turning point in the ongoing war.

HARRY POTTER & THE SORCERER’S STONE (2001)

Rated PG – Adaptation of the first of J.K. Rowling's popular children's novels about a boy who learns on his eleventh birthday that he is the orphaned son of two powerful wizards and possesses unique magical powers of his own. He is summoned from his life as an unwanted child to become a student at Hogwarts, an English boarding school for wizards. There, he meets several friends who become his closest allies and help him discover the truth about his parents' mysterious deaths at the hands of a powerful adversary.

Paw Patrol

PAW PATROL: THE MOVIE  (2021) 

AUGUST 7 - Rained out/rescheduled for August 9th.           

Rated G - When their biggest rival, Humdinger, becomes Mayor of nearby Adventure City and starts wreaking havoc, Ryder and the heroic pups kick into high gear to face the challenge head on. While one pup must face his past in Adventure City, the team finds help from a new ally, the savvy dachshund Liberty. Together, the PAW Patrol fights to save the citizens of Adventure City.

Rated PG-13 A look at the life of the legendary rock and roll star, Elvis Presley.

Elvis’ death on August 16, 1977, is commemorated every August in Memphis during Elvis week.

Moana

MOANA (2016)

Rated PG –an adventurous teenager is inspired to leave the safety and security of her island on a daring journey to save her people. Inexplicably drawn to the ocean, Moana convinces the mighty demigod Maui to join her mission, and he reluctantly helps her become a wayfinder like her ancestors who sailed before her. Together, they voyage across the open ocean on an action-packed adventure, encountering enormous monsters and impossible odds, and along the way, Moana fulfills her quest and discovers the one thing she’s always sought: her own identity.

Rated PG -13 – We all have a superhero inside us, it just takes a bit of magic to bring it out. In Billy Batson’s (Angel) case, by shouting out one word—SHAZAM!—this streetwise 14-year-old foster kid can turn into the adult Super Hero Shazam (Levi), courtesy of an ancient wizard. Still a kid at heart—inside a ripped, godlike body—Shazam revels in this adult version of himself by doing what any teen would do with superpowers: have fun with them! 

West Side Story

WEST SIDE STORY (2021)
