Purpose

The purpose of the Stormwater and Flooding Committee is to provide advice and assistance to the Town Council and Town Manager regarding flooding issues within the Town and current and potential mitigation measures and strategies.

Scope of Work

• Research studies of flooding issues within Town and work done to address them.

• Research and analyze other studies and experiences to better understand flooding issues, solutions and adaptations.

• Develop a communication strategy and procedures to educate and inform citizens on flooding issues, projects, and plans.

• Assist the Town Council and Town Manager as authorized in communicating on behalf of the Town with local municipalities, organizations and other government entities on issues.

• Report and make recommendations to the Town Council regarding options for flooding resilience and sustainability.
