Purpose
The Bethany Beach Seaside Craft Show Committee is responsible for organizing all aspects of the annual juried Seaside Craft Show, a town-sponsored event that benefits the Bethany Beach Cultural and Historical Affairs Committee (CHAC). Artisan application and booth fees are deposited into CHAC’s Town account and used to support cultural and historical programs, including expenses related to the craft show itself. CHAC may offer guidance; however, it is not a decision-making authority on the show or its committee members. The committee will also recruit and train volunteers to ensure a successful event.
Scope of Work
- Establish procedures and parameters regarding the show
- Chairperson to set meetings, assign responsibilities, and coordinate with the Town Events Director
- Advertise/market the show for optimal attendance and artisan participation
- Process applicants for jury selection
- Coordinate volunteer efforts
- Manage and oversee the show the day of the show
- Assess the show to debrief and recommend improvements
